the best fish tank for crayfish
What is the best fish tank for crayfish?

Which is the best fish tank for pet crayfish? Well, the answer to this question depends on a few things. Are you planning to have your pet crayfish with other fish? Do you plan to keep other pet crayfish all together? Because if you do, a desktop aquarium or a 10-gallon fish tank probably won’t be ideal. I know from experience. Personally, I would only suggest a 20-gallon fish tank for a crayfish, nothing smaller than that.

Crayfish are very adulterated

Crayfish are dirty little animals. They waste a lot. And this waste can make your tank bad and toxic to other fish if you have it. With a large tank like a 20-gallon tank, you have more water to handle all the waste from your pet crayfish.

Crayfish are aggressive and regional

Crayfish will eat something and fight almost nothing. They are super aggressive and regional. That being said, if you plan to keep other fish in your tank, you want a tank that has a large enough tank to keep everyone comfortable enough to reduce your chances of your pet eating fish other than crayfish. They will have more space to swim. And your pet crayfish will keep its own small area to itself. Keep in mind, however, that crayfish can turn any other fish in your tank into crayfish food at any moment. I always recommend keeping aggressive fish in the tank and fish to swim on top. Redtail Sharks, molly and hatchet fish can often work well with pet crayfish. Whatever they are for me in the past.

Water changes

With a minimum 20-gallon fish tank it will be much easier to manage water changes for your crayfish and other fish. Speaking of which, you make sure you change about 25% of the water weekly. This will ensure a healthy, clean tank. This will help keep your other fish healthy as well as your pet crayfish One

If you get two crayfish

If you decide to take two crayfish and put them in a fish tank. Based on my experience, it's just a matter of time before one eats the other. Personally, I think you need a tank larger than 20 gallons for two crayfish. But if you must have two crayfish, make sure you have a separate nest for both. These can be bought online, made from PVC or found in most pet stores that sell aquariums.
